[X-Miler 2017] Pinnacles National Park Training Hike

Dear all,
This is the reminder to sign up for the next X-Miler training hike. It will be at Pinnacles National Park from 9:30 AM -3:00 PM on Saturday, April 15, 2017. Normally, the entrance fee for Pinnacles is $20, but Saturday, April 15, 2017 is part of National Park Week! That means, entrance is free , so we highly encourage everyone to attend! This hike will be worth seven points, is also part of the Rim of the Bay , but in order to earn all of them, you must meet these requirements:
- Weight: 15-20% of Body Weight
- Water: at least 2L
- Hiking Boots
- Lunch
In addition to the required items, we also highly recommend scouts bring hiking poles.

Starting Point and Park Information
For this hike, we will be meeting at the Bear Gulch Day Use Area, at the parking area. The park usually requires an entrance fee, however since we are going on National Park Service Day, the entrance fee is free!

What is Rim of the Bay?
This mountain, Pinnacles, is part of the 6 Rim of the Bay mountains around the Bay Area. The purpose of the patch is to collect as many dockers as possible, thus visiting as many mountains as possible. By completing this hike, you will earn 1 Pinnacles docker. The patch is shown on the right.
