There are many great locations in California to hike. The SICs of this campout have currently chosen three for consideration. At the bottom of the page, you will have the opportunity to submit any other mountain peaks you are interested in. Each mountain will be introduced with a picture, then with some quick facts about them.

Mt. Whitney

About Mount Whitney
​Mount Whitney is California’s tallest mountain with an impressive 14,505 ft tall peak. This mountain is the North America’s 24th tallest peak, following La Malintzin (Puebla/Tlaxcala) and Mount Hunter (Alaska, U.S.). The mountain is usually covered in a layer of snow, but in the summer, the mountain range is green with trees and other vegetation.
